Slot Cars

For the Slot Racing enthusiast we have a full range of Scalextric. We stock Micro Scalextric, FLY, SCX, and can easily obtain Revell, Spirit, Racer and Cartric and other major brands. Not only do we have current items, but a wide selection of discontinued items, spares, secondhand cars and track, including Classic Scalextric track and accessories, and some Airfix slot racing accessories. We are a Scalextric Race & Service Centre, and offer a repair service for slot cars.

Micro Scalextric is the smaller alternative to 'full size' Scalextric. At approximately half the size and half the price of normal Scalextric, Micro is a great alternative for younger ones starting off, or anyone that has a smaller space. Like normal Scalextric, there is a varied amount of sets available, extra cars and track can be added, all of which we stock!

DIGITAL is the newest form of slot racing. Classic or Sport Track is still used, but cars carry a digital 'chip' and are controlled by a new type power base and controllers. This enables such features as lane changing and multiple cars on one lane. Conversion Microprocessors are available for all ANALOGUE cars, which require a solder installation. This enables all older slot cars to become DIGITAL cars. Some newer Scalextric cars are 'DPR ready', and a DPR Digital Microprcessor can simply be plugged in to enable it to become DIGITAL. We stock all the conversion Microprocessors and also offer an installation service. The picture above shows a TVR Speed 12 with lights we converted.

Classic Track / Sport Track

Whats the difference? The older Scalextric track is called 'Classic Track'. The current type is called 'Sport Track'. All current Scalextric sets use 'Sport Track' whether it be analogue or digital. The only difference between the two types are the connections. Old cars can run on new track, and new cars can run on old, they are fully compatible, and can even be used together with C8222 Converter Track. Not sure which you have? Thats Sport connections on the left, and Classic on the right. We stock Classic Track, Sport Track and Converter Track.
