This page is designed to keep you up-to-date with all the news and gossip of the Model World, also to list some of the secondhand and more unusual items that we currently have in stock. We would love to hear your suggestions or comments on the site and please remember to pass on the website address!

November 08	We're finding many new releases have been very delayed this year, so not all new items that should be out, actually are. If there is something you are waiting for, contact us and we should be able to give you more of an expected due date. Also, September saw a price increase from all major suppliers, so 2008 catalogue price lists may now have been superceded...!

September 08 Website News	Our site updates have been a bit slow lately due to a revamp of the stock pages. They may look similar, but you'll now find all 'for sale' items in their own 'sub-pages'. Clicking on the link will take you to their individual page. The idea is, that you will be able to view a much larger range of our stock, with a quicker page load time. This all takes time, so new items will be constantly added over the coming months. The Pre-Owned stock list is now viewable within it's own page, which hopefully will be easier for customers to glance through.

June 08 Updated	New from Hornby, we have had R2692 Battle Of Britain 'Sir Eustace Missenden', R2723 N15 'Etarre', R6408 BR Brake Van ZTR in yellow & red, R6414 2008 wagon, and also the similar Railfreight wagon with graffiti. We also have a new date for the Hornby surface mounted point motor - August. A few new Scalextric (Porsche 997's) and MicroScalextric cars (Nissan 350z's). Shop news; we now have a card payment machine! Also, you'll find on the right, a new page called 'Download'. Here you'll find a list of the pre-owned OO locomotives currently in stock. More downloads to come!

April 08	Its been a while since we updated the news page, and if you haven't been in to the shop in the past few months you may notice a few changes! 2008 new release items have been a bit slow to come, but the first of the Hornby limited editions have been R2685 West Country 'Bude' (or commonly known as 'the one with the black tender'!), R2683 LMS Caledonian Single, R2689 LMS Coronation Class Locomotive 'Duchess of Hamilton' NRM version, R2733 SR M7 '676', R2655 SW Trains Class 73, R2654 GB Railfreight Class 73. Hornby's new range of Skale Autos die cast vehicles are proving popular, and we look forward to the Skale Scenics in the next few months. Bachmann have released a few new wagons including some 12 ton BR Planked Vent Vans Bauxite and the 10 Ton Insulated Vans in blue and white. And for Southern fans the Cl. 108 three car DMU. Peco have released their new surface mount point motor, the PL-11, which has proved popular, but has gone up in price since it's release. Scalextric releases have included C2937, the Collector Centre Mk1 Escort Mexico, which sold out very quickly. EFE have now released the London Transport AEC 2RT2 Bus, and we are pleased to say we have stocks of these, together with a large amount of EFEs on special offer at only Ł10 each. Pre-owned, we have had in a large amount of mint boxed Corgi Aviation Archive models, Triang Series 4 track including the unusual long straights(!), Skaledale buildings, Minitrix 'N' Track, various Micro Scalextric, a mint boxed 1980 Scalextric 500TT Motorbike Set, and a Scalextric 'Rally Cross' Set with the rare green track. Whilst having a stock take of our new track, a fair amount of the older type Hornby points have come to light, so if you still use this type, or aren't bothered about the different point switch, give us a call for a good deal on these!

February 08	Hornby, Scalextric, Airfix, Bachmann, Graham Farish, Revell 2008 Catalogues are all now in stock! As normal, we are taking orders on all the 2008 ranges. There are quite a few limited editions that are almost sold out already, so pre-ordering is advised! Hornby will be bringing out their surface-mount point motor in around a month or two, as well as new digital decoders, and the current Hornby decoder is being revised, which should allow all systems to be compatible with it. Scalextric unveiled their new range at the London Toyfair, and the second car to come in the new James Bond Sets will be an Alpha-Romeo 159 in black. Hornby's new line of scenics and easy lighting is looking very good. Bachmann are also releasing a new line of scenics and buildings similar to Hornby's Skaledale line, called Scenecraft. These look very nice, and we shall be stocking them as well as the new Skaledale range.

January 08	Happy new year! Hornby 2008 Catalogues are now in stock. Others are expected to follow at the end of the month.

December 07 Update!	Hornby & Scalextric 2008 Range Order Forms are now in - so yes, we know what is coming out! With deliveries coming thick and fast lately, we have had in R2610 Caledonian Train Pack, R2620 Class N15 'Pendragon', R2623 King Arthur Class N15 'King Uther', and Collector Centre R2664 LMS 4-6-0 Royal Scot Class 7P 'The Royal Scot'!

December 07	Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Our biggest news of late, is that Hornby have appointed us a Hornby Collector Centre & Scalextric Race Centre. We are one of only a few shops in the country to attain this, which gives us access to Collector Centre Limited Edition Hornby & Scalextric models. Recent Hornby deliveries have included the anticipated Caledonian Train Pack, latest delivery of BR & Southern Maunsell Coaches, West Country/Battle Of Britain & King Arthur Locomotives, and Class 56's. The remaining 6 Wheel Milk Tankers are in stock, and following the nationwide shortage, the updated 4 function R8215 Digital Decoders are in stock! We also have the new Bachmann 21 pin Digital Decoders as well as the 8 - 21 pin adapters. From Scalextric, the last of the 50th Anniversary Box Sets have arrived; C2783A Mercedes Twin Pack, and 50th car Subaru Impreza 'The Sun' in rally dirt effect. Airfix kits have been arriving steadily, and for those that don't know, we stock a full range of Humbrol Acrylic & Enamel paints. We have had a lot of pre-owned items arriving lately, a large number of OO locomotives, and a collection of mint and boxed Triang! We are also having a Seasonal Special Offer on EFE Buses & Coaches.
